Monday Again

Celebration. Vision. Transformation. Fulfillment. These words barely capture the rich anointing of God’s tent meeting presence at Presque Isle Wesleyan this Sunday morning as a record summer worship event of 725+ gathered to burn the $1.1M mortgage incurred in 1999. Rev. Rick Kavanaugh, who was the Lead Pastor at the time the new sanctuary was built, delivered a powerful word on the impact of vision. Pastor Bud and his team were blessed with perfect weather and were well prepared for a crowd that exceeded expectations. It was an honour to lead this incredible church family in a mortgage burning ceremony. The high water mark in the service was the baptism of a mother and her special needs son – their testimony was so moving and there were more wet cheeks than dry ones as they received the sacrament. Rick & Marcia were duly honored and Pastor Bud & Irene Fancy and the whole PIWC staff and leadership team deserve high praise for a stellar event. New and old faces enjoyed an incredible meal following the service, complete with bouncy castles and horse rides for the kids. Click here to enjoy the highlight video of the celebration.

Shawn will meet with a liver specialist on August 8th in Halifax as the next step to have the 10 cm cancerous mass on his liver removed. You are truly a family like no other and we are deeply humbled to be part of it. Shawn, Michelle, Alexa, Jacob & Liam

Main Thing: The battle is clear: we must do whatever it takes, barring any reduction of the Gospel itself, to bring this world to Christ. (James Emery White)
