Blacks Harbour Wesleyan (Ken Banks) celebrated another baptism this Sunday at Canal Beach – PTL! BHW (located in a community of 900 people) is seeing steady numerical growth. Plans are underway to run Alpha soon to share the Good News with friends. There are also plans to connect with the local elementary school in relational and ministry ways as they have received $9000 in seed money to get this started. The Spirit is noticeable each Sunday and folks are worshipping much more openly!
  • Ken shared, “We can trace the beginning of this increase back to October of 2023. It seems as though each month we are setting 5 year highs compared to the same month in previous years (since 2020). New families and visitors have been a regular sight at the church. Prior to Easter, over 40% of our congregation went into the community to specifically invite people to church. Several who came on Easter Sunday have continued to be regular attenders. We are currently averaging in the 80’s (last 3 months), whereas only 2 years ago, we were running 64. We have very faithful people in Blacks and in addition to their efforts and prayers, all the glory and thanks goes to the Lord, Jesus Christ for the uptick during this season.”

Our New Hope Wesleyan (Scott Prime) family recently concluded their “Whatever It Takes!” campaign to put on a new metal roof, eliminate all existing debt, and fill the warchest of resources for Kingdom new locations. This vision included at least FIVE more locations with the goal of raising about $300K. To date, they have more received than $500K in cash and pledges – thanks be to God!
  • This October, Jason & Carolina Parker will lead the launch of New Hope – Windsor, which will be the third Kingdom location of this growing church family in the Annapolis Valley. This year has been marked with the largest season of growth in the church’s history and people are excited to be part of what God has planned for the chapter ahead! It was a treat to take the entire pastoral team out for lunch to celebrate this standing stone moment in the life of New Hope.
The mortgage burning followed an excellent video summary of the early beginning of New Hope Wesleyan as a house church in the living room of the Hockley’s. CLICK HERE to enjoy this walk down memory lane as they share the journey of growth and Kingdom impact over the past 25 years under Scott’s leadership. It was an exciting Sunday!

Browns Flat Fellowship (Jay & Sharon Guptill) provided a highlight moment this Sunday for Caton’s Island Director Dean Stephenson and the summer staff who have arrived for training as camps begin this week. The service included a commissioning prayer for the entire staff as our BFF family gathered around them at the altars in the Beulah Tabernacle.

Westchester Wesleyan Community Connection

Westchester Wesleyan (Sharon Simoneau) donated and planted a Flowering Quince bush at the Station Village Post Office this month as a gift to the community. It was given in appreciation of all fathers within the community. A great idea to reach out and build bridges of friendship for the Gospel!

The theme of this year’s Beulah Family Camp is… Disciple Where You Go! Our leadership team has been very intentional in planning an experience to both inspire and equip a new level of disciple-making – especially within the sphere of influence lay people have outside the walls of the church.
  • This week Tami & I participated in a meeting with key denominational leaders (middle picture) to share in the excitement of how God is stirring a Marketplace Discipleship movement through lay leaders that is rooted in prayer.

A FANTASTIC example of this happened during the graduation ceremony last week of Harrison Trimble High School in Moncton, NB. The valedictorian was Weston Steeves (son of Pat & Shannon Steeves – Pat serves on the pastoral team at Tidal).

Weston was not ashamed of the Gospel or His Lord & Saviour. The place erupted with applause as he shared in his valedictory speech that his faith in Jesus was the number one most important thing in his life. CLICK HERE for the one-minute excerpt of his speech where he absolutely CRUSHED being an on-fire witness for Christ! The future of the Church is bright with leaders like Weston stepping up and in to the cultural challenges we are facing in our faith.

Congratulations to John & Jesse Lamos (Lighthouse) on the June 18th arrival of Eden Elizabeth – O Happy Day!

  • There are things I don’t know, and questions I can’t answer. But I know that God is there. (Denn Guptill)
  • Is it right for you to be angry about this? (The Lord, Jonah 4:4)
  • The Kingdom of God is like a ship and our personal preferences are like barnacles that slow down the progress of the Kingdom. God will do whatever it takes to reach dying people. It’s not about us. It’s about the ones who need to know Jesus. (Scott Prime)

Marketplace Discipleship Conference

Plan now to attend the Marketplace Disciple Maker Conference from Monday evening (July 7th) to Wednesday morning (July 9th) during Beulah Family Camp 2025. This transformative event will guide pastors and lay leaders through a practical process to equip lay leaders for effective disciple-making within our local contexts. This is a free event hosted by the Atlantic District of The Wesleyan Church. Registration is required for the Tuesday afternoon and the Meet ‘n’ Mingle Networking Sessions on Monday and Tuesday evenings.

  • Don’t miss this excellent opportunity to mobilize the lay leaders in your church family for disciple-making in the “Judea” – Near Quadrant of our Acts 1:8 mandate. Who is coming with you to be commissioned and unleashed?
Steve DeNeff, Jeff Clark, Ryan Ott, & Trent Dailey will be working alongside our own Executive Director Tami Mutch-Ketch to provide leadership for the 48-hour embedded Marketplace Discipleship Conference during Beulah Family Camp. CLICK HERE for all the details. This is all about unleashing lay leaders to take spiritual responsibility for one space outside the walls of the church for making disciples.

We have received a few questions regarding this embedded event – here are a few helpful points of clarification:

  • Registration is optional (and free) and is intended for those who are planning to engage in the events not included in the four regular camp services.
  • The four services during this event (Monday supper – Wednesday lunch) will still be open camp worship times (with slight variations) per normal, but the theme of these services will narrow in the “Disciple Where You Go” to people being disciple-makers in their influence outside the walls of the church.
  • There is no charge for this value-add item, there will be some optional events between the services for those who are coming specifically for this event.
Steve DeNeff will be arriving on Saturday and also preaching in both services on the first Sunday in keeping with our usual camp experience.
