Corbett (Jason Vienneau) celebrated TWO baptisms on Sunday! Jason shared, “The building was filled with the excitement and energy that new life brings.”

The end of an 8-year journey to pursue becoming a Reverend ended with a very fitting bookend this Sunday in Shelburne. Joanne & Mike Ozon (Hope Wesleyan) got a surprise as they stepped into the church.
  • Board Member Dan Peacock shared, “Pastor Joanne came with sermon in hand and computer for the service. We met her at the door and told them just to sit back, the music and preaching had been covered.”
The surprise guest speaker? Her dear friend, Rev. Natalie Gidney – who represented The Wesleyan Church in the Ordination service by handing her a Bible.
  • Dan shared, “Congratulations to our Rev. Joanne! Eight years of hard work has paid off.” Well done Hope Wesleyan family – way to go!

Westchester Wesleyan Building Community Connections!

Westchester Wesleyan (Sharon Simoneau) put on a free community BBQ on Saturday which was very well attended with over 35 people dropping in for a bite to eat. Sharon shared, “We enjoyed the food, fellowship and fun that was had by all.”
  • Best of all, a lady who has only been attending Westchester Wesleyan for about a year gave her heart to Christ this month, wants to be baptized, and become a member – PTL!

Our district family prayers continue for the extended family of Mrs. Frances Craig. Her service in Pembroke last Wednesday was a powerful testimony to a Gospel-life well-lived for God’s glory and the legacy passed on through the generations.
Mrs. Craig’s granddaughter, Brooke (Brett) Smith (Yarmouth Wesleyan) also shared in the service. Many nephews and nieces were also well represented including the Perry family (Saint John First Wesleyan).
  • Her nephew, Rev. Bert McCutcheon (Roblin Wesleyan) delivered a very personal and impactful message that was “Frances reviewed and approved” – masterfully delivered by a choice Kingdom servant.
Thank you, Frances, for showing us what life can be when we seek first the Kingdom of God.

Ellen joins me in expressing our condolences on behalf of the Atlantic District family for Shawn & Michelle Craven (Havelock Wesleyan) & their family on Thursday evening’s passing of his dear mother, Feryn Craven.
  • Please CLICK HERE for her obituary with opportunity to post personal condolences. It was a blessing for her family to be gathered around her at the time the Lord called her home.
Her funeral service was conducted yesterday morning at Cornerstone Wesleyan Church in North Gower, Ontario. Thank you for your prayers and loving support of the Cravens during these days of loss.

  • The more bankrupt secularism becomes, because it has deconstructed without giving a story to live by, the more it will insist it is followed. (Steve DeNeff)
  • The presence of pain is not the absence of God. (Zach Coffin)
  • You don’t need public approval or permission to function as a priest. (Jeff Clark)
