It never gets old. Two more public testimonies to a transformed life this Sunday at West Head Wesleyan (Vince Robertson) – PTL! Vince shared, “Barb spent decades bringing her kids to Sunday School but never publicly declared her faith. She wanted warm water to be baptized in…Gabrielle pushed warm water north! Water 17 or 18 degrees. Ben has been at church since we arrived. A couple years ago he gave his life to Jesus at a children’s crusade weekend at church and publicly witnessed his decision today [Sunday].”

Yarmouth Wesleyan (AJ Plaizier) celebrated its **75th Anniversary** this weekend. The guest speakers included Chris Ivany (Rock Church) and, of course, John Symonds – who preached on Saturday night with incredible passion for the future. AJ landed the weekend on Sunday with a powerful and thought-provoking challenge from the familiar story of Peter walking on water. If you need to be inspired in the work, CLICK HERE to soak in the wisdom and passion of his message.

  • The entire weekend was so thoughtful, so intentional, and filled with so much excellence. Celebration and inspiration of the highest order. Anticipation was the Harvest seed sown in every heart by God this weekend. An exciting year ahead will reap the momentum and morale of a platinum-level Kingdom anniversary well leveraged by a world-class team of pastors and lay-leaders! The celebration also highlighted its multi-church vision with the 4th Anniversary of South Church & Coastal Church.

I wish you could have been there. It was a powerful weekend. The North American Church is experiencing a net decline and is losing ground in many places. But the **Yarmouth Wesleyan and South Shore impact-story** is truly remarkable. It would be celebrated in any era, but is especially potent because of the day in which it is happening.

  • CLICK HERE for a detailed chronological listing of all the YWC Pastors over 75 years (hats off to Dave Hockley for this work).

Every number has a name. And every name has a story of transformation. I really hope you click on this link – it’ll be worth it to be reminded of why we do what we do.

**LOVE WEEK** was birthed 12 years ago and is fully embraced in the DNA of Kings (Brent Ingersoll). Two Sundays ago, the five Kings locations (Valley, SJ West, St. Stephen, Charlottetown, & Halifax) raised **more than $400K and then gave it all away** in one glorious week of God-glorifying witness to the love of Jesus for the Atlantic region – thanks be to God!
  • The hour long service on Sunday was hosted by LOVE WEEK Director Kari Broad and her husband, who serves as Executive Pastor. They introduced a variety of video segments summing up the Kingdom impact of this radical generosity. In the lead up to one of the most powerful moments of the video summary, Andy Broad warned, “If you’re not crying, you’re lying.”

It was a great day Sunday at The Ridge (Dave Wilcox). Dave shared, “We had our annual Outdoor Service and BBQ. It started early in the morning, 7:00 AM, with the worship team setting up and then the Kitchen crew getting ready for the BBQ and all the others who were a part of this great day. **108 people in attendance** with an amazing worship time, The Word, and food.”
  • The week before, The Ridge family celebrated **two baptisms**!

As noted above, South (Tom Cann) celebrated its **4th Anniversary** this Sunday. I was there for launch Sunday and it is encouraging to see the steady growth with an average of around **125**. But the real story is in the miracles of transformation. I spoke with two of the launch team members on Sunday and they just kept pointing out people and telling the stories of God’s redemption and restoration at work in their lives through recovery ministry!
  • Assistant Pastor Cindy Power shared a long list of all the ways the growing church family had been there for each other as a family of faith, but also how they have actively served the needs of the community through the **South Pantry**.
Tom shared, “At South Church we see people, so they can see Jesus!” What a rally cry for God’s people!

Hillside Wesleyan (Dave Dixon) hosted their second annual **Unwavering Conference** on Saturday with around **85 women** present. There were times of worship, powerful testimonies, interviews with lay people, and a keynote message by Rev. Olivia Phillips on having an Unwavering Passion. All left encouraged and further equipped to live out their calling in their day to day context.

Rev. Arnold Stairs Honour Scholarship Recipient

On Friday evening, Kingswood University celebrated students and scholarship donors who were able to be present at its annual *Honours Recognition Banquet*. President Rick Christman shared, “**Over $130,000** was given in students in scholarships for this academic year – this helps significantly with the cost of their tuition.”
  • **Caleb Whittier** (from Saint John First Wesleyan) was awarded the **Rev. Arnold Stairs Honour Scholarship** which covers 10% of his full-year tuition. On October 11th, Arnold will be **99-years-young** and has been an Ordained Wesleyan Minister for **76 years** (1949)! He was the first preacher to graduate from KU in 1948, and this Saturday, he went for a solo drive in his one-year-old Kia – what an inspiring Kingdom servant!” Congratulations, Caleb – you make us PK’s proud!

The Storms of Life Sermon Series

During September, Peter Hayes and Simon MacInnis brought this sermon series together at Solid Rock Wesleyan. This series reminded the church that storms are inevitable, but they are never wasted. Whether it’s personal chaos, fear, unexpected detours, or the turmoil of the world itself, Jesus remains Lord over every storm. His presence brings peace, His call demands courage, His sovereignty gives purpose, and His victory secures our hope.

Bangladesh Bound!

Last week the initial team for our **February 2026 vision trip to Bangladesh** had a video meeting to discuss the ministry opportunities and logistics around the trip. District Director of Global Partners Denn Guptill (Cornerstone Wesleyan) shared, “We are excited about the impact that will be made during our ten-day trip. There is still room to join the team, for more information visit – www.globalpartners.ca/bangladesh or CLICK HERE with your questions.”
Denn also shared…
We have an exciting opportunity to bring hope and health to Haiti. World Hope International Canada is completing a **blood bank facility** at L’Hôpital Wesleyen de La Gônave — a project that will literally save lives during emergencies, surgeries, and childbirth.
  • The Wesleyan hospital at La Gônave has a special place in the heart of churches across the Atlantic District where missionaries from across our district have served through the years impacting the physical and spiritual health of countless individuals. And now we can play an important part in this next step.
Here’s the good news: **Cornerstone Wesleyan Church will match every donation** from churches and individuals **dollar-for-dollar up to $12,500**. That means your gift of $100 becomes $200, $500 becomes $1,000, and together we can provide $25,000 toward completing this life-saving project.
Would you join us? Your generosity will be doubled — and so will your impact.
