Atlantic Connexion

The final Pastoral Installation of the season took place on Prince Edward Island this weekend. Brian (Kimberly) Gilroy and their children Jeshua and Judiah have joined the Island family to provide leadership for the post-pandemic chapter ahead. They have an optimistic passion for evangelism and are an answer to prayer for this season of renewal. Welcome to the Atlantic Tribe!
Harvest 2022 (Kings) was a fitting culmination of three years of seeking and searching the heart of God for our region following the opportunity to pause and reorient throughout the pandemic. 700+ ladies came ready to worship and bless the Lord, and His Spirit was tangibly present in each gathering. Ann Voskamp, Brent Ingersoll, Tammy Giffen and Cathie Ostapchuk all brought powerful, timely words that were well received. Glory to God!
Journey (Matt Maxwell) partnered with GoGo Gymnastics for a Trunk Or Treat on Sunday and hosted over 800 kids in the parking lot with over 40 trunks and over 600,000 treats given away! An amazing day to make connections with the community of Fredericton. The cars were even backed up onto the highway in both directions!

  • Special thanks to Carl & Evelyn Brewer as Sunday concluded a significant season of ministry in the renewal of Norton Wesleyan. Beginning this Sunday, Kathy Jefferies will be providing point leadership (along with her ongoing leadership at Head of Millstream) as the rebuilding journey continues.
Kingswood University hosted its fall session of the Board of Trustees in Bangor last week. This Board Governance Retreat included several sessions with President Emeritus Dr. Peter Teague of Lancaster Bible College. Hats off to President Lennox and his team of administrators for providing excellent direction to this important time together as we seek God’s heart for better days of Kingdom impact in the post-pandemic context of preparing workers for the harvest.

As we are all finding our new spiritual rhythms in this post-pandemic context, perhaps it is time to revisit the invitation to create a Rule of Life in your walk with Jesus. CLICK HERE for this reminder of the importance of making margin to abide in The Vine as you lead in His vineyard work.
  • We allow our pressures to inhibit our priorities. The busyness of ministry can crowd out the purpose of ministry. So, what one thing can you do this week to focus on your top priority of reaching people? (Dan Reiland)
  • …over the years I have made a career out of studying the most challenging management roles out there. After all of that I am now convinced the two most difficult jobs in the world are these – one, to be President of the United States, and two, to be the leader of a church… where you… lead it to serve others in greatness… the most difficult job is being one of those kinds of pastors. (Peter Drucker)
  • The answer of God’s presence turns our “why” into “how” – Wisdom is following truth, not the times. (Peter Teague)
