Deep Water BLT Launched on Sunday!
Deep Water (AJ Thomas) launched a new satellite Sunday in the HRM suburb of Beechville-Lakeside-Timberlea (AKA BLT). The fabric of Kingdom partnership was beautifully evident on this first day for the third location of the Deep Water story.

  • BLT Pastors Timothy & McCaila Andrews are pictured on the far right. I am standing next to Pastor Elias Mutale who leads Timberlea Baptist Church. This satellite uniquely shares the same service for these two congregations. Heidi Nelson (who is standing third from the right) served as the final ViceChair of Metro Wesleyan which voted to close in February 2019 so that they could join the multiplication vision of AJ Thomas and be relaunched as a BLT satellite of Deep Water.

Best of all, the man in the middle has no church home and was a first time attendee invited by one of the launch team members. He was deeply engaged in the message by AJ and declared he was going to come back next week and bring his wife. This picture captures so many things to celebrate about how Jesus is building His Church!

The sanctuary at Timberlea Baptist / Deep Water BLT was packed on day one with 111 worshippers! There was a joy-filled sense of hope and anticipation as the tag-team leadership of Timothy and McCaila was warmly received.

  • There were 30 kids plus workers in the Upstream program with a total of more than 150 on the very first day of this atypical Kingdom partnership. Praise God for this renewed Kingdom location in our region!
Easton (Rich Thomas) Adds Three Members on Sunday!
District Roundtables took place in Hartland (Dave Wilcox) and Houlton (Wayne Roberston) this week. It has been nearly three years since we have been able to gather like this. The waning pandemic is making way for a new day of rebuilding and the lessons we are learning together will be shared with all pastors later in November after the final Roundtables are completed this week.

The Beulah Session of the Camp Board gathered at Heartland October 29th for a full day of prayer, visioning and strategic planning. A unanimous sense of mission was experienced in strengthening the why and what of Beulah Camp and Conference Center to align with Atlantic District 2027 targets. More information to follow. For now, pray for discernment and wisdom in these days of initial planning. We celebrate the first full summer of ministry at Beulah since the summer of 2019.

  • Earlier this week, Executive Director Tami Mutch-Ketch and I had the privilege of enjoying a meal with Dean and Carol Stephenson. Caton’s Islandhad 1,838 campers this summer who stayed at least one night and heard at least one Gospel presentation. This summer registrations surpassed 90% of Dean’s 2025 Vision to have 2,025 campers – PTL!
