Sixty-Five Years of Ministry Celebrated @ Framework
Sixty-five years of pastoral ministry and “retiring” for the 4th time – this Sunday was a special celebration of Rev. Bernard Brown. A luncheon afterwards in recognition of his conclusion of service on the Framework Pastoral Team @ Christmas, had people giving honors to his years of ministry and how much he reflected the love Jesus has for the world.

  • Dr. HC Wilson shared a message in the service how we are all a piece of Gods puzzle and a puzzle cannot be finished if we do not take our place. Lead Pastor Bud Fancy shared, “Pastor Brown has continued to allow God to place him where he is needed and I imagine he will continue to do so until he is side by side with Jesus himself.”
Six Baptisms this Sunday @ Yarmouth (AJ Plaizier)!
AJ shared, “Few things are as exciting seeing people of all ages and stages of life enter the waters of baptism.” It was so encouraging to be present this Sunday in both services @ Yarmouth (AJ Plaizier), South Church (Thomas Cann), & two services at Coastal Church (Jason Parker).

  • The picture below continues the story of transformed lives through South Church. Meet Adam, Assistant Pastor Cindy Powers, Theresa, & Dawson. These three have all been baptized recently by Tom & Cindy.
A new series based in Philippians launched this Sunday and David Hockley (middle right picture) stepped in at South Church as the Canns were one of the many families with burst pipes because of the record-breaking freezing temperatures on the South Shore this weekend. Dave shared, “If Tom were here, he would say we can have joy in our suffering!” Now that’s a pastor who practices what he preaches!

  • Alex Matchett (Coastal) led in a baby dedication during the first service on Sunday evening (lower left picture). The sermon series kick-off was packed with challenging truth and a call to maturity in our faith in the face of suffering.
A Visit with “The Mrs.” on Grand Manan
On Tuesday, I enjoyed a visit with Mrs. Charlene MacKenzie during a day of meetings on Grand Manan. What an incredible gift she is to our ministerial tribe! Our conversation included many laughs but also her tears of intercession for those she is praying will find the Lord.

  • The Lighthouse LBA voted unanimously on Tuesday to nominate Lead Pastor John Lamos for an Extended Call which will be conducted February 26th.
  • Last evening, the Woods Harbour LBA also voted unanimously to nominate Lead Pastor Tim Conrad for an Extended Call with a congregational vote on February 26th.

South Shore Connections!
During my weekend in Southwest Nova, a coffee connection with Vince & Karen Robertson (West Head) was enhanced by a surprise visit with Joanne & Mike (AKA “the pastor’s wife”) Ozon (Hope)! We are incredibly blessed by the effective leadership and heart for evangelism modelled in both of these Kingdom couples in our tribe!

  • Nobody wonders if your faith is real when life is good. People will not watch you succeed. They will watch you suffer. I didn’t say God sent it. But God will not waste it. He wants to use you right where you’re at. (AJ Plaizier)
  • It is a mark of maturity when we are willing to accept God’s perspective on everything all the time. (Jason Parker)
  • If you are afraid of risk you will always play it safe. If we don’t risk we will never learn. (Steve DeNeff)
