Atlantic Church/Pastor Updates:

  • It was a joy to be with our Community Wesleyan family in Fort Fairfield on Sunday to share from The Word and announce the two-year appointment of Kevin (Wanda) Jackins (pictured upper left) as Lead Pastor. Kevin is a long-standing lay leader in the church who has retired recently and is entering the credentialing process this year. Welcome to the Atlantic Ministerial Tribe, Kevin & Wanda!

Partnered in Ministry for Student Discipleship
District Children’s Ministry Director (Rebecca Perry) and District Youth Co-Presidents (Martin Stehouwer & Ryan Genereaux) are bringing a day of ministry collaboration to three Atlantic locations this spring:

  • Woodstock – April 15th
  • Halifax – April 22nd
  • Saint John – May 20th

Life is so much easier when we work together! Ministry is no different. If you serve the children and youth of your congregation, we invite you to join us for a time to connect. We would love the chance to meet those who are working alongside us in the Kingdom. We desire to purposefully connect, encourage and resource one another! Stay tuned for more information and save the date for the location and date best for you.

The Life of Mrs. Gracie Benson Duly Honoured
Saturday’s Celebration of Life for Mrs. Grace Benson was led with the conviction of truth demonstrated by a life well lived. Reg Thomas (First North River Baptist) officiated with excellence as he ministered to Roosevelt Benson and their sons Melvin & Fenton and the extended family gathered. Special thanks to those in our ministerial tribe who were present to support the Bensons on this important day. And, yes, Gracie’s famous purple hair was referenced several times – she would have loved every minute!
Alpha Canada Evangelism Webinar
Earlier this winter, Shaila Visser of Alpha Canada offered a webinar on the state of evangelism in the Canadian Church. CLICK HERE for key highlights of this webinar and several excellent links for evangelism resources. • It is the constructs of our mind that constrict and constrain us. Accept and live by the truth of Christ. Without Jesus we may be privileged, but we are not free. True freedom is found in the power to live as God has called us to live. (Reg Thomas)
  • Evangelism is joining a conversation the Holy Spirit is already having with another person. (Darrell Johnson)
  • The more ministry you give away, the more ministry you’ll do. (CK Chitty)

As revival spreads and Gen Z are increasingly called into a deeper relationship with Jesus, the timing of this gathering has never been more important. We are so excited to return to the Moncton Coliseum for 2023, and to be able to get everyone in ONE space, as ONE church, worshipping ONE God.
