Atlantic Connexion

Tender moments. Timeless wisdom. Touching testimonies. Browns Flat Fellowship(Jay & Sharon Guptill) held a beautiful Mother’s Day service on Sunday. Five favourite congregational songs/hymns were preceded with personal testimonies by the Mom’s who chose them.

  • Jay interviewed his mother, Jan Guptill, as she shared the foundation of God’s truth in her life – a godly lady who practices what she preaches. Jay even got a public scolding for forgetting to ask one question – ha! Rob Trafton provided spiritual leadership to the songs and testimonies with great sensitivity to the Spirit. It was a special day in the house of the Lord.
Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources and Renewables presented Havelock Wesleyan (Shawn Craven) with a NS flag signed by all the firefighters for hosting the Incident Command Post for the Hassett Fire at least into early next week.

  • Shawn shared, “[Assistant Pastor] Kathryn and I have been able to get intro woods and be on front lines fighting the fire. Amazing volunteers at the church have stepped up to keep rolling with feeding and serving 50 – 60 DNRR and FD crews. They gave us Sunday off with no church responsibilities. Church happened on the upper level and fire operations on lower level.”

Captain Shawn Craven & Lieutenant Kathryn Brooks serve as volunteer firefighters and chaplains and are pictured in the lower picture with NS Premier Tim Houston and MLA Jill Balser.

Parker Davis Preaches on Baptism of the Spirit (Framework)
The services (both Saturday evening and Sunday morning) on the first weekend of May at Framework (Bud Fancy) were marked by a powerful move of the Holy Spirit. Parker preached on the baptism of the Holy Spirit this weekend. Jason Blaikie shared, “We had two salvations and many people responded to being filled with the Spirit for the first time!” CLICK HERE to be inspired and challenged.

  • CLICK HERE to access this week’s WesLife which features an excellent video on the person of the Holy Spirit. These doctrinal video updates would make a great addition from time to time in your local church newsletters. We are a people Anchored in Holiness!
Beulah Camp Clean-up Day
BCCC Caretaker Mike White shared, “Such an awesome work day [Saturday]! The food, fellowship, and tasks accomplished went beyond what I thought could be accomplished. The work hours concentrated on the grounds in preparation for summer ministries were outstanding…THANK YOU does not seem like enough but that is what I want to say to each one of you…your servant heart shone through!”
60+ volunteers spent all Saturday morning in roofing, raking, cleaning, spreading gravel, mulching, painting, etc. We simply could not enjoy the Kingdom impact of District Camp Ministry without the countless volunteers who selflessly give to support Riverside, Beulah Camp & Conference Center, and Caton’s Island!

District Church/Pastor Update:

  • Nick & Liberty Perry resigned this Sunday from the Pastoral Staff of Blacks Harbour (Ken Banks) as Liberty will be joining Spotlight (Mark Parker) as Children’s Pastor this summer. They will conclude their ministry in New Brunswick on July 23rd as they prepare to move to Stratford, ON.

One Con – June 2-3, 2023 @ Moncton Coliseum
ONE Conference has always been a movement seeking to align the youth of Atlantic Canada with the heart of God. As revival spreads and Gen Z are increasingly called into a deeper relationship with Jesus, the timing of this gathering has never been more important. We are so excited to return to the Moncton Coliseum for 2023, and to be able to get everyone in ONE space, as ONE church, worshipping ONE God.
