New Hope (Scott Prime) decided to make a difference through The Welcome Project which provides personal items and baby care products for Ukraine Refugees & Immigrants as they transition to life in Nova Scotia.

  • Missions Pastor Karen Doucette shared, “We collected 20 baskets in total from the Kentville and Kingston locations – baby items and small children’s toys, hygiene items for kids, and 20 $25 grocery cards. Each basket included a personalized greeting card made by Hope Kids!
Congratulations to Our Newest Dual Citizen!

Dr. Laurence Mullen & the Founders
I enjoyed visiting this week with Laurence & Vesta Mullen before their return to Houghton, NY. The Mullens have blessed our tribe with an incredible repository of history in our spiritual heritage. This special picture of the five founding ministers of the Reformed Baptist Alliance is a cherished gift from them. You are welcome to swing by my Beulah Office for a closer look!
Congratulations to David & Melissa Tysick (New Hope – Kingston) on the happy arrival of Asa James born August 2 (8 lbs. 8 oz.). David shared the rather fascinating background to the given name of their first-born – CLICK HERE to find out why “Asa” is the perfect name for this little boy!
Congratulations to Rev. Wayne Briggs & Mrs. Brenda Adams on their happy Wedding Day this Sunday – August 7th!  Brenda shared, “We ‘tied the knot’ at the beautiful Port Maitland Beach under a beautiful sky on the warm sand, and surrounded by friends from far and wide.”
  • The Kingdom of God that we advance is not the kingdom currently in place. So don’t worry about having enemies. Instead, concern yourself with having the right ones and for the right reasons. (James Emery White)
  • Joy, not grit, is the hallmark of holy obedience. We need to be light-hearted in what we do to avoid taking ourselves too seriously. It is a cheerful revolt against self and pride. (Richard Foster)
  • [Holiness] is love excluding sin; love filling the heart, taking up the whole capacity of the soul. It is love ‘rejoicing evermore, praying without ceasing, in everything giving thanks.’ (John Wesley)
