The Story of A Transformed AND Transforming Life!
Meet Jesse.
He’s an inspiring reminder of why we do what we do! Jesse (red shirt) hugged Jerry who was baptized this week at Framework (Jason Blaikie). Jesse started attending a few months ago and rededicated his life to a Christ. Jesse, a USA army vet and a former alcoholic, did not pull away from his friends when he accepted Christ but rather began picking them up and bringing them to church! A couple months ago a single mom he brought accepted Christ and was baptized shortly after. On Sunday, Jerry was baptized after Jesse walked him through how to follow Jesus.
  • Jason shared, “Jesse is a disciple maker at heart and he isn’t stopping. He is still pouring into those he is bringing but is bringing so many new people to Church and investing in them that rides are an issue. These are fun problems to solve for and people in the Church are rallying behind him and those he is bringing to help see them discipled. Looking forward to connecting Jesse with Live Sent.”
Praise God for igniting the calling of one of our 400 Leaders!
Framework held an all-church picnic the end of August and celebrated four baptisms with over 400 people fed, bouncy houses, horses, snow cones and an amazing time of worship outdoors. God is on the move in the County!
Young Adults Headed to College?
If you have students from your church that are heading to university or college this fall, you know that their faith will be tested in critical ways over the next number of months. The pressures they face could honestly end up breaking down the faith that they’ve built during their years at your church.
  • But that doesn’t have to be the story. In fact, recent research shows that if someone from your church helps to build a bridge to Christian community in a student’s new town, the chances that they’ll stay connected to the local church doubles. It’s for that reason that Jeremy MacDonald (Moncton) has put together the resources to do that in a unique and special way — by inviting your graduating students to become Post-Secondary Missionaries. Sent from your church to their new communities.

Everything you need is located in this folder: https://bit.ly/3gnm7hU. You can also reach out to Jeremy with any questions or help you’d like with your youth ministry as his organization, the Youth Worker Community, is helping churches across our country better disciple students each week. He can be reached at jeremy@youthworker.community.

Summer Beulah Session of Camp Board
Executive Director Tami Mutch-Ketch convened the Beulah Camp & Conference CenterSession of the Camp Board this week. A special presentation by Rob Trafton (Property Development Officer) & Shirley Mullen (Heritage Advisor) was received with high level engagement and enthusiasm for the future. Stay tuned for more details in the weeks ahead!
Tami invited the Beulah Management and Staff Team out for an evening last week to celebrate the successful summer of ministry. We are so blessed by her leadership and the diverse and strong team she has built to serve the growth and development of our District Camp Ministry. Our final Summer@Beulah Service on Sunday concluded the scheduled seasonal activities.
Never Too Young
It’s exciting to see churches connect with the world – it’s powerful to see churches passionately invite the children in their congregation to be a part of reaching the world. • PreacHer Sunday (see below in Upcoming Events) is already underway across the Atlantic region. Natalie Gidney (lower right) shared, “What a joy to preach at West Head Wesleyan Church this [Sunday] and share about World Hope International – Canada – always great to be with you all!” Deborah Gilbert (lower left) kicked off the month at Cornerstone (Denn Guptill). Sarah Street also preached recently at Moncton (Jim Clements) – CLICK HERE to check out her message!

The River (Mark Soone) is rolling out a month-long focus to highlight PreacHer Sunday. Mark is pictured above with the first two women speakers – Karen Bishop & Suzeline St. Louis. Mark shared, “I have been praying about this since I first heard of it. So about 6 months ago we developed a plan. We like many churches don’t have a female staff pastor….but we are going to have a different lady sharing part of their journey in Christ during each of the 4 Sundays. I have been working with them and the creative arts team as we prepare for what God has them to share. I’m excited about what He is going to do to us and through us as we collectively become more comfortable sharing the goodness of God and His amazing transformative power. I’ll be sharing an abbreviated message each week to compliment and tie in with each of the themes/stories.”

Kings St. Stephen (Pete Stubbs) recently hosted a prayer and worship night. Pete shared, “It was an incredible evening, where His people came together in worship with one voice. As we prayed together, walls were broken down and we saw His Church united. It was an absolutely amazing night in God’s presence where we saw lives changed and the unity of His Church in Charlotte County!”

Join us at Caton’s Island for a great weekend as we explore our purpose as men which God has set in our hearts. Great food (smoked brisket), lots of fun with zipline, skeet shooting and axe throwing and the camaraderie of other men. Don’t miss out on a great time and bring a friend.
  • Caton’s Island has reached 95% of the 2025 Vision… so far! With 1917 campers this summer, we would only need 108 men come to the men’s weekend to crush this goal two years ahead of schedule – PTL!
What is PreacHER Sunday all about?

The Wesleyan Church has the premier seminal egalitarian influence in the history of the North American Church as our antecedent denominations Ordained the first woman both in America and in Canada. Luther Lee (Wesleyan Methodist) Ordained the first woman in the USA in 1853, and Rev. Ella Kinney Sanders was Ordained by the Reformed Baptist Alliance of Canada in 1901.

As you have likely heard, E&CD is celebrating PreacHer Sunday this September!  What is PreacHer Sunday about? It is encouraging every Wesleyan Church to invite a woman to preach at least one Sunday during the month of September.

  • We recognize that many of our Wesleyan churches do not have females on staff.  To help navigate this, HQ has created a database of women available to preach during the month of September. HQ is asking that all credentialed women use this form (CLICK HERE) to share their availability to preach in September. If you would like assistance in finding the right fit for your church, please contact DBA Member, Victoria Rowe (Framework) at pastorvictoria@framework.church.
Thank you for partnering with us as we encourage women and men together to share the transforming message of Jesus!
  • It was also announced during an event for Women in Ministry @ Beulah Family Camp that the Atlantic District will provide a 100% reimbursement on the registration expense for any credentialed lady from our Ministerial Tribe who chooses to attend the Wesleyan Holiness Women Clergy Conference on March 7-9, 2024. CLICK HERE for registration details (travel, lodging, and meals are a personal/church expense).
Early bird registration concludes on October 15th.
