Atlantic Connexion

John Sherwood (Crosspoint) had this to share about the two baptisms on Sunday (top pic), “That’s 11 since May, and 16 since Easter Sunday. We had a crew from St. Mary’s First Nation supporting one of our indigenous young adults who was baptized today!”

  • Yarmouth (AJ Plaizier) hosted another Regional Worship Night (middle pic) on Saturday with more than 350 present and SIX baptisms!

The bottom picture perfectly captures the “thousand words” in the hearts of a father and son. Stefan Gilbert (Cornerstone) had the joy of baptizing his son Cody this Sunday – nothing sweeter for those who steward a Kingdom calling as pastor – PTL!

Harvest 2023 Women’s Conference

Harvest 2023 was a Spirit-soaked weekend of meaningful worship and anointed preaching. Keynote speakers consisted of Lisa Whittle and Toni Collier, and both speakers were well-loved, bringing a unique blend of inspiration and conviction to bear throughout the weekend. More than 100 Kingdom locations were represented by the 700 women present @ the Valley location of Kings (Brent Ingersoll), and the atmosphere in the building was full of anticipation. All glory to God!

Westchester Wesleyan Pastoral Installation
The last of six new Lead Pastor installations took place at Westchester Wesleyan this Sunday. Sharon (Dan) Simoneau began serving in October as the next Undershepherd of this historic church family in our Atlantic Tribe now in its 121st year. The church family is encouraged and ready for a bright new chapter in the years ahead!

  • DISTRICT MINISTERIAL (January 17-18) is less than three months away – make sure you respond in a timely fashion to the email received yesterday – especially with regard to booking your hotel rooms.
Kingswood University hosted the Board of Trustees Fall Retreat this week. Darren Campbell (Campus.edu) was present via Zoom to provide a substantive and encouraging update with President Steve Lennox regarding the preparation for the January launch of Kingswood Learn (see below for more details).
Atlantic Team in Cambodia

World Hope International Canada has provided opportunity for four Atlantic Pastors to engage with potential partnership in Cambodia with the International Wesleyan Church to build relationships and to share the hope of Jesus. Let’s keep praying for Natalie Gidney, Peter Hayes, Jason Vienneau, and Jennifer White.

Stay tuned for updates as the team returns later this month!

  • Healing doesn’t happen in isolation it happens in community. God uses community to expose our blind spots and embrace our potential. (Moe Diggs)
  • Maybe this world would be a bit better if we all just calmed down and stopped bleeding on people who didn’t cut us. (Nick Graham)
  • Solitary religion is not to be found in the Gospel of Christ. Holy solitaries is a phrase no more consistent with The Gospel than holy adulterers. The Gospel of Christ knows of no religion but social; no holiness but social holiness. (John Wesley)

Being vs. Doing – A Critical Reminder

The energy and excitement of fall momentum is palpable. These are the easiest days to slip into old habits… to our peril of both cause and soul. Tyler Stanton gives us a phenomenal reminder about the essential rhythms of Vine-abiding that come through an intentional Rule of Life.
