Atlantic Connexion

This Sunday two baptisms were celebrated! One at Amherst (Evan Oxner) and one at Crosspoint (John Sherwood). The previous Sunday on Mother’s Day also included a number of child dedications in several churches across the region. Proverbs 22:6, “Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it.” (NLT)

District Nominating Committee
The District Nominating Committee convened last week in preparation for District Conference elections this summer. This is the season for year-end Local Church Conferences (Annual Business/General Meetings) – thanks in advance for completing your ASRs, LCSRs, and Local Church Leader postings on The Wesleyan Hub by the requested deadlines. Also, remember to collect email addresses for all your District Conference Delegates for advance communication they will receive from District Office.
The Beulah Dining Hall was packed for Browns Flat Fellowship (Jay & Sharon Guptill) this Sunday! With the Victoria Day long weekend and lots of friends and family on the grounds for a Saturday wedding (see below), the service was one of the largest in recent memory.

  • Sharon enjoyed the opportunity to lead worship with three of their sons and one nephew. The service included a very special family highlight with the tag-team child dedication of two of the Guptill’s grandsons – nothing is sweeter in our calling as pastors than family as first-ministry!

  • Praise involves the visitation and habitation of His presence. (Jay Guptill)
  • Our strength comes from WHO we are praising. We are created to worship. We choose who or what we will worship. (Sharon Guptill)
  • The strongest online community you can imagine has nothing on the embodied connection of authentic, diverse, in-the-room family – for the long haul. (Evan Wickham)

Congratulations to Brett & Brooke Smith (Yarmouth Wesleyan) on their blessed union this Saturday on the front lawn of Heartland @ Beulah Camp! It was a beautiful and perfect day for the MacCallums & Smiths as friends and family gathered to celebrate.
