The Atlantic District office will remain closed until January 4th and voicemail will be checked daily for time-sensitive matters. 2020 will soon be behind us and we trust each of you are enjoying some quantity and quality time with your loved ones during Christmas break.
It was December 1973. My parents were spending their 2nd Christmas as Global Partners (Wesleyan World Missions) missionaries with the Pilgrim Wesleyan Church in Zambia. I had just turned three years old when my Dad penned this devotional thought…
I read these words for the first time just a few days before Christmas. This picture was thoughtfully sent to me by one of our Zambian district superintendents with warm appreciation for the partnership of those who are called to go to the ends of the earth and for those who are called to share in their ministry by giving and praying. I feel incredibly blessed by the accident of birth and the rich spiritual heritage in my family tree. This was my Dad’s 4th Christmas in heaven. His race is now run and he is enjoying his eternal reward.And so we all enter 2021, to run the race set before us to make disciples of our Risen Saviour. See you next year and remember… May we all be in that great cloud of witnesses one day, but until then – Christmas is why we are still here!
