It’s Monday Again

Beulah Family Camp is BACK – PTL! CLICK HERE for all the deets. Super Saturday was a huge success with great family activities, awesome food, reunions everywhere, world-class fireworks, but especially a meaningful Family Worship Night in the Tabernacle. Aaron Hopkins (Corbett) provided Spirit-led direction for our return to worship on the Tabernacle mount. Thank you, Nicki Symonds-White, for your impressive planning in what was truly a Super Saturday. Our first time to gather as a district family on the campgrounds in three years was a beehive of smiles with the joy of being together again to worship our Lord!
Camp Evangelist Mick Veach delivered a passionate and powerful beginning to our services as the altars were lined last night with those making a fresh commitment to be ablaze for God. And for the first time in camp history, the services were livestreamed. Unfortunately, during the morning service a power outage from Public Landing to Evandale interrupted the service. Thanks to the ingenuity of the tech crew and camp leadership, generators soon provided enough power for the basic needs of the service to be fully met. Don Ingersoll and the kitchen crew pulled off a miraculous meal that fed the multitudes. Power was restored mid-afternoon.
  • CLICK HERE to join any service by livestream! Spread the word so that those who could not attend this year, don’t have to miss out. The Sunday morning service will be eventually uploaded in full as one battery powered camera captured the entire service even though it could not be broadcast because of the loss of internet.
Here are a few moments to whet your appetite as you prepare to join us this week…

As we prepare to gather on Wednesday, July 6th @ 2:00 p.m. in the Beulah Tabernacle for the Celebration of Life for Mrs. Gloria Wilson, we would remind all Atlantic Ministers of the following details. Gloria’s service will also be available by livestream (CLICK HERE) for those unable to be present in-person.
  • Ministerial Family Instructions: Ministers and spouses may sit anywhere you choose in the Tabernacle. You will be free to select any of the five entrances as each double-doorway will have an usher with bulletins and a guest book to sign. Please be prepared to stand in the service when instructed by the DS during his remarks. By request of the family there will be no visitation in advance of the service and no honour guard following. In lieu of a reception, you are encouraged to find moments during the remainder of Beulah Family Camp to express your support one-on-one for the Wilson family as opportunity allows.
CLICK HERE for Gloria’s obituary where you may also post online condolences. As several have requested Dr. HC Wilson’s mailing and email addresses, we trust this information will be helpful as you offer support to the family:

Caton’s Island held its first Family Camp Weekend with Luke Anderson (Connection) as the Keynote Speaker. Several of the camps already have waiting lists in the weeks ahead. With 18 cabins and the new Choate Dining Hall Expansion nearly completed, the growth this summer is projected to set new records for number of campers as we continue toward the 2025 By 2025 vision!

The new first-class kitchen is now operational and is being capably led by professional chef, Jenn Arsenault. You will not be disappointed if you are able to come for a visit this Saturday (July 9th) during the annual Open House on the island. We are so blessed by Director Dean Stephenson and his capable team as they continue the encouraging growth trend we are experiencing as we reach more kids and teens for Christ.

Summerfest is always a highlight for the Jonesport/Beals community.  And it provides a great chance to be out and about sharing God’s love. This week, The Reach (Andy Phillips) brought their dunk tank and a free drawing of four fishing pole sets to the Kid’s Day Celebration. It definitely made a big splash! Andy shared, “At Kid’s Day and on our parade float, we announced the upcoming VBS program, Rocky Railway. Lots of candy made our float even sweeter. In between the rain showers on Saturday, our bake and craft sale was a great opportunity to start conversations with many people enjoying the festivities.”
By week’s end, all the community churches met together for a worship service under the big tent in the center of town. Andy brought the message this year and preached about Paul’s call to the Galatians to use their freedom in Jesus Christ to love their neighbors. Pray that the seeds sown will reap a great harvest!
All Ministerial & Lay Delegates (both voting & voice-only) are encouraged to pick up their packets early during office hours prior to July 7th. On the morning of District Conference, the remaining Delegate Packets will be available at a registration table upon entry of the Tabernacle.
  • Observers will be welcome to pick up leftover packets as supplies remain available at the registration table on the day of conference.
Mick Veach Points to Ponder (1st Sunday @ Beulah Family Camp)
  • It’s time to pick up our towels and serve. Jesus even served those who betrayed Him.
  • You’re not serving to get results. You are serving because you see Jesus in those you serve.
  • If you’re just spending time with Jesus on the run, you’re missing out on the power of your prayer closet.
  • Salvation is a free gift that will cost you the rest of your life.
  • It’s more dangerous to say “no” to Jesus.
  • I’m invincible until it’s time to go home.
