District Ministerial

You asked and we listened, so there is more! Our surveys of past district ministerials have a common theme – about half of the group like it being 24 hours and the other half would like it to be 48 hours. This January 29-30 we are going to pilot an optional post-Ministerial spiritual retreat with Jay & Sharon Guptill (Made for More Ministries). This will allow for everyone to attend for the number of days they prefer. We are excited to partner with Kingswood University as our venue this year!

Registration will allow for up to 65 of you to stay on campus at the incredible rate of $35 CAD per night (double occupancy). This is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Once Kingswood lodging is maxed out, we will have blocks of rooms available to reserve your lodging at a discount rate by a TBD deadline in Sussex local hotels (Amsterdam Inn, Fairway Inn, & All Seasons Inn).

Meals at Kingswood are optional but must be preselected and prepaid. You will have the option to purchase one or all your meals in the Greg Mann Dining Commons by a TBA deadline in early January (this deadline is ONLY for pre-ordering KU cafeteria meals). Children’s pricing will be provided when the email goes out to all those registered by the December 13th deadline. An excellent value for the convenience – especially if you are staying on campus and the CAD prices (with taxes included) for drinks, salad bar, main course, & dessert are Breakfast @ $12, Lunch @ $16, & Dinner @ $18.

• Ministerial will begin on Wednesday with an evening banquet and conclude just before supper on Thursday (Jan 28-29).
• The Made for More Spiritual Retreat will begin Thursday evening and conclude by suppertime on Friday (Jan 29-30).
• Free registration for both events.
• Complimentary childcare will be available onsite, and a detailed schedule will be provided after the registration deadline (December 13th)
• Ministerial will begin with a Wednesday banquet at 6:00 p.m. Childcare opens at 5:30 p.m. (make sure your kids have eaten supper before they are dropped off).
• Local church costs will include travel, meals (except the Wed evening banquet in Wesley Hall), and lodging. Non-credentialed leaders serving in a local church pastoral role are also welcome to register pending the approval of their Lead Pastor.
