Monday Again

 SPECIAL NOTE:
Debbie Rideout, wife of Pastor Jasper Rideout at North Head, was promoted to glory on Saturday afternoon after a difficult battle with cancer. Our deep sympathy to Jasper, Sammy and the extended family.
The funeral will be at Blacks Harbour Wesleyan at 2 PM on Wednesday.
PASTORS – please note. The General Superintendent has requested that Easter attendance for every church be reported to the district office. Please email, tweet, call or send a carrier pigeon, but get the word to us next Sunday. Thanks in advance.

Great looking mission team to Cuba from Saint John First – sj1. This year has seen a record number of teams going from our district to several overseas fields. I am so pumped by the rising interest in the world beyond. Watch for high profile focus at Beulah 2014.
Caleb Richardson has accepted a staff position at Grand Harbour Central as Minister of Youth and Family Ministries.
Children’s Ministry Huddle at Fredericton Journey on Saturday – more than 100 in attendance. Excellent event.
Dunamis Youth Weekend at Yarmouth with leadership from Kingswood – more than 100 in attendance. Great variety of training, worship and community service.
Westchester hosts a monthly Country Gospel Evangelistic Outreach that is averaging 55. As a result of this, 10 new people are attending the church and 5 have accepted Christ. PTL!
For Palm Sunday yesterday, I preached in Moncton, David Smith spoke at Maple Ridge and Don Ingersoll candidated at Sussex.

Presque Isle had a mission team just return from LaGonave, Haiti where they did great work on the new hospital there. They also recently had Thabsile from Swaziland in the church for a weekend and almost $10,000 was given for World Hope’s ministry. One of the projects was raising money to place Bibles in the hands of high school students in Swaziland. Pastor Bud says, “Was wonderful to watch new families leave the Sat night service, go to an ATM downtown and return with money for Bibles.”
Havelock, NS raised more than $2600 at a desert auction last week to help youth attend the Rally in the Valley next month.  They also had a gift last Sunday of $30,000 to assist in completing the lower level of the new church.
David and Joanne LeRoy will be in Halifax this week so that he may undergo a stem cell transplant. This is a serious and significant procedure and your prayers are requested for them. Following the procedure, David will be in isolation at the hospital for two weeks or longer. Say a prayer, drop a note – and thanks for not visiting while he is in isolation.
