89 Baptisms Across Kings Locations!

Kings (Brent Ingersoll) celebrated a total of 89 transformed lives across the region on Sunday – PTL! Nothing beats seeing people declare their faith in Jesus and demonstrate that they have been made new by the power and presence of the Holy Spirit. People are encountering Jesus in different ways… through Alpha, Celebrate Recovery, Christian parents leading their children, friends bringing friends, tragedies bringing people to faith… one of the seven-year-olds who was baptized summed it up perfectly, “I choose Jesus and that’s it!”

Kingswood University – Encounter Weekend!

Encounter 2023 brought 345 students and leaders to the Kingswood University campus this past weekend. With powerful student-led worship and anointed preaching from Rev. Zach Coffin, the Holy Spirit’s presence was heavy on the campus. Ten students made a first-time commitment to Jesus, dozens stood to affirm they will be disciple-makers wherever God leads them, and fifteen stood to accept a call to full-time vocational ministry. Praise God!

Congratulation to Aaron Bartlett who began serving this month on the Moncton team as Worship Pastor with Jim Clements. Aaron and Heather grew up in Ontario and recently moved from Abbotsford, BC with their three children, Victorianna, Avonlea, & Kairos. Welcome aboard Bartlett family!

Peter Hayes (Solid Rock) led a team of Atlantic pastors last month to explore partnership opportunities with World Hope International in Cambodia. Team members included Jennifer White (also from Solid Rock), Natalie Gidney (World Hope Canada), and Jason Vienneau (Corbett).

“The Lodge” is the next major capital project on Caton’s Island to have broken ground and is well under way to provide quality adult housing for short-term and long-term volunteers and staff. Director Dean Stephenson shared, “The Caton’s Island Session of the Camp Board was able to come over Thursday morning and see the progress. I think everyone was duly impressed. If all goes according to plan we will be running the concrete floor on Thursday. Next step… raise $600,000 by spring to finish it for use in July!”
Invest in Transforming Lives on November 28th
In the landscape of today we need safe places that challenge and help shape who we are becoming. Summer camp is one of those places. It sparks memories in all who have attended – memories of friends around a campfire, challenges to be conquered, and confidence to be gained. Without the support of others volunteering their time or finances, we wouldn’t be as effective in reaching as many campers. As costs increase, we need more partners to help support our mission. This Giving Tuesday (November 28th) is a great opportunity to partner with us. CLICK HERE to consider a gift toward our new Staff Lodge or a monthly gift to continue the ministry.
Fall Fredericton Youth Rally – A Kingdom Win!
More than 500 were present last month for the night with 200+ recommitments to following Jesus with over 25 first-time salvations! Luke Budreau (Journey) shared, “It was another incredible year and would not have been possible without collaboration from Corbett Church, Journey, Brunswick Street Baptist, and Douglas Baptist.”

Love Atlantic Just Keeps Giving
Crosspoint pastors John Sherwood & Stephen Thomas delivered 85 winter hats, 83 pairs of winter gloves, 188 pairs of winter socks, and a check for over $1,200 to Gibson-Neill Memorial Elementary School last week. This was possible because of the generosity of Crosspointers through Love Atlantic 2023.
Ellen joins me in expressing heartfelt condolences on behalf of the Atlantic District to Jemima the family of Rev. Joseph Ocran, Founding National Superintendent of The Wesleyan Church of Ghana (which merged with the Standard Church mission fields in 2004), who was promoted to glory on October 31, 2023.

  • An honoured guest many times at Beulah Family Camp and in several of our congregations, the legacy and Kingdom impact of this great man of God will never be forgotten. CLICK HERE for opportunity to post your words of loving memory and support for the Ocran family.

The Wesleyan Church of Ghana Facebook posted these words, “In his time here on earth, he made it his mission to spread God’s word and help people who otherwise had no access to the things most of us regard as basic necessities. Apart from building churches, he built schools, hospitals, libraries, farming projects that fed underserved communities and touched the lives of countless individuals. His generosity and genuine care for the needs of others knew no boundaries. A great man. He truly lived a life of selflessness, devotion and benevolence… RIP Joe Ocran, you will truly be missed.”

  • The resurrection of Jesus is a new singularity of a whole new creation bursting forth in the midst of this old one. Father Time has been defeated. (Brent Ingersoll)
  • I know I’m a little old school in that I still believe there’s an anointing worth protecting. You can have all the whistles and bells, but without the anointing of God, you don’t have anything. (Christine Caine)
  • You may forget that you are at every moment totally dependent on God. (C.S. Lewis)

Being vs. Doing – A Critical Reminder

The energy and excitement of fall momentum is palpable. These are the easiest days to slip into old habits… to our peril of both cause and soul. Tyler Stanton gives us a phenomenal reminder about the essential rhythms of Vine-abiding that come through an intentional Rule of Life.
