It’s Monday Again

National Superintendent Steve Elliott shares this helpful video of encouragement and challenge for us all during these days of challenge and opportunity. If you had seen a picture of an LBA meeting that looked like this a few months ago, you might have wondered why they couldn’t get along! But rest assured, this group of men and women are fully unified – even with physical distancing – as they serve our church family in Blacks Harbour (Dr. HC). Our Atlantic churches continue to adapt as restrictions are shifting in the weeks ahead. Your prayers for wisdom and innovation are critical to empower our leaders.
The weekly connection with District Superintendents continues to provide excellent resources and shared learning for next steps as DS Karl Eastlack (Northeast District) coordinates this opportunity. Here are a few for consideration:
Ellen joins me in expressing sincere condolences on behalf of the Atlantic District to Vince & Karen Robertson (West Head) on Wednesday’s passing of his sister, Annie Wilson. Her full obituary is posted by Sherwood’s Funeral Home.

Pastoral Transitions & Votes
  • Jim Agrell received a vote of 99% this past week to continue as Lead Pastor of Encounter along with strong support for an Extended Call.
Congratulations to Jason & Carolina Parker (Woods Harbour) on the arrival of their third child, John Jason Samuel Parker on May 13th (7 lbs. 4 oz., 20 in.). Jason shares about their son, “He will be called JJ for short. John after both our fathers, Jason after the little man’s Dad, and Samuel after our prayer, based off of 1 Samuel 1:20.”
Points to Ponder
  • The next level of innovation will be found in the next ripple of Kingdom Force mobilization. (Wayne Schmidt)
  • Even if God chooses not to change your circumstance, He can always change your perspective. My job is just to trust Him. If God is not done working, then I’m not done waiting. (Tiffany McGraw)
  • The way you say something often sets the tone for how it is received. You can be 100% right and come across as 100% wrong. (Luke Anderson)

not only for the Church, but for her leaders.

What about Beulah Family Camp & Caton’s Island for 2020?

Executive Director Tanya Nace of World Hope International (Canada) invites you to take a virtual trip around the world as we celebrate lives changed and give as we anticipate continuing to build hope this coming year. This fall thousands of Bahamians received clean water and life-saving supplies after the destruction of Hurricane Dorian. Throughout the past year World Hope provided clean water through wells and piped water to communities in West Africa and Cambodia and we continue to help transform the lives of young orphaned girls in Ukraine.
