It's Monday Again

Good Tuesday morning!  I am in Indianapolis this week and plan to return to Beulah late on Sunday after speaking at the Irving Chapel in Buctouche on Sunday morning.
IMA next week will be the last edition as we have known it.  Thanks to all of you who have so faithfully read it each week and the many supportive comments I have received.  IMA began as a very limited circulation piece to pastors who had email at the time.  It has since grown to a few hundred people receiving it each week and I have truly enjoyed keeping in touch in this way.
Jason Rooney who has recently been serving as youth pastor in Presque Isle has accepted the near unanimous vote to be pastor at the church in Monticello.  Jason and his wife will be assuming responsibilities there within the next few weeks.
Those of you who are children’s ministry directors will have recently received a very creative note from Linda Lamos, our District Children’s Ministry Director.  It’s good stuff – be sure and read it!
I am very pleased to announce that in a conference call of the World Hope Canada board held last evening we unanimously elected a new executive director.  Due to sensitivities at the candidate’s present place of employment, the name cannot be released at this time but the board is fully confident that the individual selected will provide focused, high quality leadership.  A full announcement will be made in mid-September.
Nick and Elizabeth Graham (Havelock, NB) are looking for helpers to assist them with the junior VBS (ages 4 and 5) at Beulah.  If you have interest, please email Beth at graham_ej@yahoo.ca
Don’t forget – largest offering in Beulah history – Sunday evening, July 15th.  In fact, it’s already the largest offering and we haven’t even passed the plates yet.  Advanced gifts have been coming in reflecting strong support and high motivation toward this project.  Don’t miss this rising tide!  Be a part of history.

Chris Conrad, Director of Church Planter Development for our denomination, was recently on our district.  He made coaching visits with Michael & Tammy Hutton in Sydney, and Darren & Janel Clark in Conception Bay South.  We appreciate Chris being with us and his interest in our planting projects.
