Solid Rock (Peter Hayes) had a very special Christmas outreach earlier this month. Assistant Pastor Jennifer White leads Jonathan’s Heart Ministries which hosted a Christmas party. Jennifer shared, “Over 90 of the 120+ invited guests showed up and the smiles and happy faces were priceless! What a blessing it is to serve our autistic community this way.”

  • Everyone received an invitation to Solid Rock’s Christmas Eve service and there was even one person that tuned in the next day for the online service Sunday morning – PTL!

The Wesleyan Church has a long history of caring for marginalized and vulnerable children. Hephzibah 62:4 Legacy Partnerships include three years of grants from Hephzibah 62:4, equipping opportunities for church and ministry leaders and volunteers. Under the capable leadership of Director Jodi Lewis, these partnerships provide new places to which Wesleyan churches can send vision and work teams, develop long-term supportive relationships and invest in excellent ministries dedicated to transforming the lives of vulnerable children.

Pastor Cluster Leaders’ Training for 2023

Pastor Cluster Leaders gathered on Zoom last Wednesday afternoon to review research on stress-resilience in ministry conducted this year by Dr. Charles Stone. His in-depth insights and practical recommendations for the skills pastors can develop for greater resilience will be a timely investment in the New Year. This will provide the content for the first three months of Clusters in 2023. Special Thanks to the 20+ Cluster Leaders who make this connection opportunity possible for our Ministerial Tribe.

Shawn Craven Receives Queen’s Jubilee Medal – Congratulations!
On Friday, Shawn Craven (Havelock) was awarded the Queens’s Jubilee medal by MLA Ronnie LeBlanc at a special ceremony in Halifax. Shawn was recognized for his work in the community of Weymouth with the fire service, school and church. What an amazing way to promote the love of Jesus in a very public way.

  • Congratulations, Shawn! Thanks for all the ways you let His light shine through you – way to go!
It was a feast fit for a King. Not Charles – even better – the King of Caton’s Island, Dean Stephenson! On Wednesday evening, the leadership of Atlantic District Camp Ministry enjoyed a wonderful Christmas gathering for food and fellowship to celebrate all that God has done to transform lives in 2022. Executive Director Tami Mutch-Ketch shared words and gifts of appreciation for all!
