Atlantic Connexion

It was a huge day in Aroostook County as Hub Coffee celebrated its Grand Opening on Monday, August 15th. CLICK HERE for a gallery of photos that captured this exciting day for this unique Kingdom expression in Presque Isle. Framework (Bud Fancy) leadership has a vision to reach the students of two local college campuses by providing a world-class coffee shop to build bridges for Bible Studies and student worship events.

  • Dave Rowe serves as Manager and Jason Blaikie Chairs this board-led ministry initiative. The community of Presque Isle has been overwhelmingly supportive of this new endeavour since its soft start in June. CLICK HERE for an excellent news story that captures this connection.

The stories of new relationships and spiritual impact continue to roll in each week. The fiscal goals for the early months have been totally blown out of the water as Hub Coffee is practically self-sustaining already.  Praise God for this new Kingdom location that will soon house weekly worship and discipleship opportunities for the university and college students nearby.

Eleven Transformation Stories Celebrated by Baptism
Yarmouth (AJ Plaizier) had a beach service at Ellenwood Lake on Sunday and baptized 11 people – praise God for their individual stories of transformation!
Forty New Names Written in the Lamb’s Book
Another amazing week of ministry occured at Island Adventure Camp on Caton’s Island with kids from all over the region. Kevin Myers (Brazil Lake) and his son Elijah tag-teamed as the Camp Speakers. Kevin shared, “This is his first time speaking ever! We gave an invitation [Wednesday] morning and over 40 kids indicated that they invited Jesus into their life for the first time! I can’t help it: I’m a pretty proud father today and a very humbled servant of the King! Today is one of those good days … Praise God!”
Beulah Session of the Camp Board
Another excellent meeting was convened on Friday by Executive Director Tami Mutch-Ketch with the Beulah Session of the Camp Board. A thorough review of Beulah Family Camp was a celebrated high point of the day as we thank God for answering our prayers for this to be a powerful time for renewal. Beulah Camp & Conference Center is benefiting from a reconfigured management model as several people have assumed part-time leadership roles. The future is bright and we are very well served by this group of women and men who love to see the acceleration of disciple-making that Camp Ministry can bring.
  • The future is as bright as the promises of God. (William Carey)
  • The easy thing is to stay home. The easy thing to do is abdicate, to let other people do something, and then blame them when it doesn’t match your agenda. (Seth Godin)
  • On what basis are you here [in heaven]? The Man on the middle cross said I can come. (Alistair Begg)
