The emergency clean water production of
World Hope International (Canada) in The Bahamas has wrapped up now and moved into a new phase. We are grateful for the dedication, passion, and hard work of the
60 individuals who volunteered to serve on our Disaster Teams to provide clean water for survivors of Hurricane Dorian and who collectively gave over
11,580 hours of labour. Check out this final
update and
two-minute video which would be an
excellent mission moment to show in a weekend service to thank your church for their support.

Lead Pastor Joanne Ozon (
Hope) received difficult news this week that her cancer has returned on her spine. It is very early stages and treatment has already begun. After delivering the news to the congregation yesterday morning, Joanne spoke on God’s promises, “Cancer cannot cripple love. It cannot shatter hope. It cannot corrode faith. It cannot destroy peace. Be still and know that I am God.” This picture captures the Church at her very best as they gathered around to pray for their Pastor.
Advent Points to Ponder
- The Lord is coming, always coming. When you have ears to hear and eyes to see, you will recognize him at any moment of your life. Life is Advent; life is recognizing the coming of the Lord. (Henri Nouwen)
- At this Christmas when Christ comes, will He find a warm heart? Mark the season of Advent by loving and serving the others with God’s own love and concern. (Mother Teresa)
- The word advent means “expectation.” What advent can do for us is create a sense of hope. (Louie Giglio)
Full details for how your church can take advantage of this National Church initiative can be
accessed online HERE. This will be an excellent addition to local discipleship efforts as one of the greatest predictors of spiritual growth is spending time in His Word.
