Monday Again

Join us in the Wesleyan Community Bible Experience February 24 – April 20, 2014. The Wesleyan Church has partnered with Biblica to challenge the church to read the New Testament in 40 days, coinciding with lent and Easter. For more information please visit the Community Bible Experience on the headquarters website.
Pastors Take Note: A Flourishing Clergy Survey was in your email inbox recently. This is an initiative of our HQ and I would ask that all pastors and spouses give attention to this in the next day or so – prior to Wednesday the 12th. We sent a follow up email with the survey contact information last Friday. Thanks for giving a bit of your time straight away to the survey.
Dr. Lyon will be in our district this week meeting with our DBA for the vital task of moving towards a DS nomination for this district conference. Please be in prayer for this significant process. It is His will and way we seek – nothing else.

Save the Date – April 1 and 2 at Kingswood. Rev. Steve DeNeff and Dr. Lenny Lucetti will be leading a “Festival on Preaching.” This two-day event will feature seminars from them and several other preaching experts.  Additionally, several Emerging Young Preachers will receive personal coaching to help develop their homiletical skills. Details to follow.
It’s Monday Again (IMA) hit another new record last week with the largest number of opens ever.  New subscribers signing up every week. The tribe is staying connected.
A great day in Yarmouth yesterday. Six were baptized early in the service and six more “walk ons” later in the service. One man remarked, “I’ve never seen anything like that in all my life.” Biggest crowd in quite some time – 454. PTL and onward and upward!
Mission teams from our tribe are headed to Guatemala and Nicaragua this month. It is great to see such a high level of interest in the Great Commission. Have you been on a team? Watch for word on upcoming teams at Beulah 2014.

Maximizing Impact weekend was held this weekend at Corbett Avenue with consultant Rev. W Paul James, DS of Eastern New York New England. We were involved in individual staff and LBA interviews, group feedback session, teaching seminar and Sunday worship. We prepared and shared a report outlining 5 Strengths; 5 Concerns and 5 Prescriptions growing out of our interviews and interactions.
KVEast set a new record today of 131 in the theatre.  Our first satellite venue is getting it done. PTL.
Great participation and strong positive response from the three days together. Thanks to Pastor AJ Plaizier for his high level cooperation and to all who took part in the weekend. This has great potential for several of our district churches. I will be back at Corbett on Feb. 28 to meet with the LBA for a follow up meeting.
