The first weekend of Beulah Family Camp was packed with amazing family fun and Spirit-anointed worship with Gary Sharpe (Family Worship Night) & Kelly Jay. Super Saturday was a super success – a huge thank you to Nicki White and her impressive team! The opening messages from Moe Diggs and Andrea Summers have been a powerful blend of practical truth with the call to application. He is already at work to answer our prayers – “Revive Me, O Lord!”
Kingswood Learn Workshop
400 Leaders – Kingswood Learn Workshop (July 14th)

During Beulah Family Camp @ 1:30 p.m. on Ordination Day (July 14th), a special Kingswood Learn Workshop will be offered by Dr. Darren Campbell & President Steve Lennox to demonstrate the features of the Kingswood Learn platform.

  • ALL pastors and key lay leaders are strongly encouraged to stay after lunch on Ordination Day for this innovative workshop as Atlantic District Churches have opportunity to get in on the ground level to access and benefits of these micro-courses which will be available in the New Year for raising leaders in the local church.
  • President Lennox shared, “We’re convinced this will strengthen the church, a central pillar of our mission.” CLICK HERE to get a taste of Kingswood Learn!

The DBA is recommending churches consider the minimum “badging” level for a local church certificate you may create as part of the 400 Leaders 2027 Vision. This has a very nominal certification fee per micro-course and will still be available for free if Kingswood is not asked to certify satisfactory completion.

See you THIS Saturday, July 15th @ 2:30 p.m.
Choate Dining Hall Rededication on Caton’s Island!

Caton’s Island will be hosting its annual Open House on July 15th with transportation to/from the Caton’s Landing from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. A great outing for the whole family with opportunities for all the activities listed above. The rededication of the $1.1M expansion to the Choate Dining Hall will be the highlight of the day!

The King’s Highway – Copies Requested
We share a long tradition of connection in our tribal ethos. The King’s Highwaywas first published in November of 1890. Our Assistant Curator of the Mullen Heritage Archives, Rose Staples (roses@nbnet.nb.ca), would gladly receive donations of copies of this denominational publication. There are a few gaps in our permanent records so if you have an old box with some in your attic – feel free to contact Rose and she will coordinate your donation. Other historic Reformed Baptist items may also be considered on a case by case basis.
Wesleyan Missionary Alumni Fellowship (WMAF)
Global Partners representatives Jim & Jeannette Vermilya were present on Sunday evening after the service for the annual gathering of the Atlantic WMAF. They served for five years in Jamaica & eight years in Haiti and have a rich history with our global team after serving for 17 years as Pastors-to-Missionaries. Our recently appointed missionary couple also shared an inspiring presentation about the unreached people group they will be going to serve.
Congratulations to Matthew & Alyssa Thomas on last week’s addition to the Thomas family – Luca Anthony Thomas!

Ellen joins me in expressing our heartfelt condolences to the family of Rev. Donald & Diana Hodgins on his passing this Thursday. Rev. Don Hodgins served as Central Canada District Superintendent from 1995-2013 and was instrumental in the successful and celebrated merger of the Standard Church.

Like so many younger pastors, I was privileged by the Kingdom influence of this godly and gentle-spirited leader. His love of leaders, joy in the Lord, and the strength of his meekness have left a lasting legacy for those of us who stand upon his shoulders in service to the Church.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Trenton Wesleyan Church on Friday, July 28th @ 1:00 p.m. CLICK HERE for his obituary with opportunity to post words of loving support for the family.

  • Presence was established before the power was poured out. Presence precedes power. In order to be His witness we must first receive His witness. An infilling precedes an outpouring. (Andrea Summers)
  • The assumption about Christianity is all wrong. Christians don’t believe that goodness gets you to heaven. Christians believe it’s exhausting to rely on your own goodness. (Tim Keller)
  • Unforgiveness is a deadly emotion. Forgiveness doesn’t mean that was done to you is right, it makes you right to let go of those who have wronged you and puts them in God’s hands. (Moe Diggs)
